Bruce Dickson

Bruce, his wife Renee, and their daughter Ellie, have recently returned to the Sunny Coast after serving as a minister in Brisbane for 6 years. Bruce completed a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium, but after deciding ‘professional Tuba player’ wasn’t his career of choice, worked in IT (Thomson Reuters) while moonlighting in his Acid Jazz band Supernatural. Bruce first came to believe in Jesus in 1999, a complete turnaround, before studying youth ministry and completing an MDiv at SMBC and Grad Dip Div at QTC. Serving the church in a variety of roles has grown Bruce’s passion to equip and serve alongside others to introduce Jesus to people of all backgrounds and cultures. Bruce’s interests include electric guitar, indie folk and alternative rock music, reading Nordic Noir, pour-over coffee, and enjoying adventures in the great outdoors with his two girls.
