Songs for Sunday May 24

It’s been such a blessing to work through Romans 8 together over the past few weeks. I hope you have been as encouraged as I have been as we’ve recalled the hope we have in Jesus, the life and peace that is available to us through the Holy Spirit, our adoption as God’s children, the promise that God will use even suffering for good, and the future glory that awaits us. As we finish up in Romans 8 today, let’s rejoice together that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

Song 1: God is For Us:

Song 2: And Can it Be:

No condemnation now I dread
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine
Alive in Him, my living Head
And clothed in righteousness divine
Bold I approach the eternal throne
And claim the crown, through Christ my own
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou my God, shoulds’t die for me?

Song 3: Jesus Paid it All:

A song to sing after the sermon: Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me

No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven
The future sure, the price it has been paid
For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon
And He was raised to overthrow the grave

To this I hold, my sin has been defeated
Jesus now and ever is my plea
Oh the chains are released, I can sing: I am free
Yet not I, but through Christ in me
