When it comes to sport Australia is a nation of spectators. We like to be up close to the action, we like to cheer from the grand stands or in front of our TV, we like to talk about the game at work and put our fantasy coach hats on and either complain of celebrate the weekend games.

Sadly our obsession of being the spectator also exists in our nations faith. ABS 2011 Census indicates that 61.1% of Australia is Christian however less then 8% attend church on at least a monthly basis (mccrindle research).
